Processor: It adopts two clock - synchronized microprocessors that work together to ensure the timeliness and accuracy of data processing and control, and improve the overall system performance. Each microprocessor has its own independent memory. One processes real data and programs, while the other processes reverse data and programs. Coupled with a testable hardware comparator, it can monitor external accesses in real - time. Once a fault is detected, it immediately triggers the watchdog, switches the system to a safe state, and reports the processor fault status.

Memory: It is equipped with 1MB of user memory, operating system memory, and data memory to meet the storage requirements of different programs and data. The program memory uses flash EPROM, which can support at least 100,000 write cycles, ensuring the stability and durability of program storage. The data memory is static random - access memory (SRAM), and data backup is achieved with the help of the batteries on the central module and the bus board to ensure that data is not lost when the system power is off.

Power Supply: It supports an operating voltage of 24Vdc/120Vac. The 5V DC power supply is provided by the clock - controlled 24V dc/5V dc power module marked F 7130A, eliminating the need for separate wiring. The sub - rack is equipped with two parallel power modules. When one fails, the other can continue to power the system. The central unit monitors the 5V DC output voltage in real - time. Once a power module fails, the operating system sends a fault message to the user program through system variables. When the 5V DC system power supply fails, the lithium - battery on the central module provides buffering for the hardware clock and SRAM to maintain the operation of critical data and the clock.

Interfaces

RS 485 Interface: It has 2 electrically isolated RS 485 interfaces with a maximum transmission rate of 57600bps. The rate can be set to 9600bps or 57600bps via switches, and other rates can also be set through software (software settings have a higher priority). The interface pins are clearly defined. For example, pin 3 (A/A’) is used for receiving/transmitting data A (RxD/TxD - A), and pin 8 (B/B’) is used for receiving/transmitting data B (RxD/TxD - B), etc.

Other Interfaces: It integrates I/O bus logic for connecting input/output modules; and is equipped with a Dual Port RAM for fast memory access with the second central module (not used in the H41q - MS system).

Diagnostic Display: It is equipped with a four - digit alphanumeric display, two LED indicators (the CPU indicator is used to display central module errors, and the IO indicator is used to display testable input/output module errors), two toggle switches (used to request detailed error information), and a button ACK (used to reset the error indication. In case of a fault stop, ACK is equivalent to restarting the system).

Settings Specifications

Bus Station Number Setting: The bus station number can be set via switches S1 - 1/2/3/4/5/6/7. In the serial interface, the settable range is from 1 to 31. In the Ethernet network, when used in conjunction with S1 - 6/7, the settable range is extended to 1 - 99. However, the number of communication partners within the network is limited to 64. This extended setting has been supported since the central module operating system BS41q/51q V7.0 - 8 (05.31).

Transmission Rate Setting: The transmission rate of the RS 485 interface is set using switch S1 - 8. When S1 - 8 is ON, the rate is 9600bps; when S1 - 8 is OFF, it is 57600bps.

Usage and Maintenance

Module Installation and Removal: During installation, place the module on the terminal block and quickly press it inwards until it is in place. Before removal, fully loosen the fixing screws to make the module movable. Then press the eject lever (at the front label) and quickly pull the module upwards. The operation should be carried out promptly to avoid triggering system error signals.

Battery Maintenance: The buffer battery (such as the CR 2477N lithium - battery, HIMA part number 44 0000018) has a lifespan of approximately 1000 days at 25°C and about 200 days at 60°C. It is recommended to replace the battery within 6 years at the latest when the CPU is running, or within three months after the "BATI" indicator appears.

Parameter Check: Regularly check the bus station number and transmission rate settings on switch S1 to ensure they are correct and to guarantee normal system communication.

Module Replacement: The F 8652X can directly replace the F 8652, F 8652A, and F 8652E modules, facilitating system upgrades and maintenance.
