Comprehensive Power Management: This module enables full automated management of the ship's power plant, covering core functions such as power distribution, diesel engine control, generator control, synchronization operations, and generator protection. Independent and Reliable Operation: Each generator set is equipped with an independent and autonomous PMS system. This design greatly improves the reliability and availability of the system. Even if some systems fail, the PMS of other generator sets can still work normally, ensuring the power supply for key ship equipment and reducing navigation risks caused by power failures.
Intuitive Information Display: The module is equipped with a graphic display that can clearly present key power parameters such as circuit breaker status (on/off), generator power, voltage, current, power factor, bus voltage, and frequency. Convenient Configuration and Operation: The standard Mega Guard PMS is easy to configure during installation. The graphic display provides a user-friendly menu-driven interface, allowing operators to easily input parameters such as generator power, number of generators, bus tie circuit breaker position, nominal bus voltage, alarm limits, and diesel/shaft/shore power generators. This significantly shortens the installation and commissioning time and improves work efficiency.
System Scalability
The Mega Guard PMS has excellent scalability, and functional modules can be flexibly added according to the actual needs of the ship:
Diesel Engine Safety System: It can monitor the operating status of diesel engines in real-time, such as key parameters like oil temperature, oil pressure, and speed. Once an abnormal situation is detected, it immediately triggers an alarm and takes corresponding protective measures to prevent the engine from being damaged due to faults, extend the engine's service life, and ensure the stable operation of the ship's power system.
Synchronization Checker with Standby Measurement: It performs backup measurements of power (kW), voltage (V), current (A), frequency (Hz), and power factor (cosΦ), ensuring that power parameters can still be accurately obtained when the main measurement channel fails. This guarantees the accuracy and reliability of synchronization operations and avoids generator grid-connection failures or power system instability caused by measurement errors.
Frequency and Voltage Analog Control: Through precise analog control algorithms, it finely adjusts the frequency and voltage of the power system to keep them within specified ranges. Physical Specifications
Diversified Installation Methods: Two common installation specifications are provided. One is 144x144x55mm (width x height x depth), suitable for embedded panel installation. It can be smoothly installed on the front door of the switchboard without occupying additional space, while facilitating operators' viewing and operation. The other is 127x198x29mm (width x height x depth), used for DIN rail installation, which can be conveniently installed on the DIN rail inside the switchboard, saving space and facilitating wiring and maintenance.
Connection Cable Adaptation: An I/O cable with a length of 3 meters or 5 meters is equipped between the PMS operation panel and the PMS I/O module, which can be flexibly selected according to the actual installation position requirements, ensuring stable and reliable signal transmission and facilitating system integration and installation.
