The T9402 24V DC-powered digital input module is part of the AADvance controller system, featuring 16 isolated digital input channels. Its main functions include monitoring the status and channel conditions of field devices, transmitting digital status and analog voltage data to the processor module, while supporting line monitoring and on-site fault detection.
The T9402 module provides local module and channel status indication through front-panel LEDs. These statuses can also be linked to application variables and viewed in Workbench. Comprehensive diagnostic functions at the system and module levels generate clear fault indications, facilitating quick maintenance and repair.

Core Features
Isolation Protection: Integrates signal and power isolation circuits to isolate each input channel from other parts of the system, protecting the controller from on-site faults.
Redundancy and Fault Tolerance: In dual-configuration or TMR (Triple Modular Redundancy) setups, input signals remain uninterrupted during module replacement, ensuring system continuity.
Independent Monitoring: Equipped with an independent watchdog circuit to monitor module operation. In case of a fault, it provides additional fault containment through a shutdown mechanism.
Line Monitoring: Supports module parameter configuration via AADvance Workbench. Each input channel has 5 configurable voltage bands (with 8 different switch thresholds to allow hysteresis), which can be adjusted to provide line monitoring, on-site loop monitoring, and additional on-site device diagnostics.
Hardware Design Ensures Signal Transmission: It adopts an optocoupler isolation method to electrically isolate the digital signals of external devices from internal circuits, effectively preventing external interference from affecting the system and ensuring the stability of signal transmission. The module provides independent signal and power isolation circuits for each input channel, further enhancing anti-interference capability and protecting the controller from on-site faults. In addition, the module features various redundant configurations, such as supporting simplex, dual, and triple redundancy, which enables the module to work normally even when some components fail, ensuring system reliability.
Signal Acquisition and Processing Process: The T9402 Digital Input Module has 16 channels and can collect multiple digital signals simultaneously. These channels can receive digital signals from external devices such as switches, buttons, and sensors, and each channel can be configured as Normally Open (NO) or Normally Closed (NC). The module processes the collected signals, converting the digital signals of external devices into standard digital signals for processing by PLCs or controllers. During this process, the module has a fast scanning speed and can collect signals in real-time. For example, the scanning time in simplex configuration is 0.924ms, ensuring timely data acquisition.
Fault Diagnosis and Protection Mechanism: The module is equipped with a self-diagnostic function, which can detect abnormal conditions such as underrange, overrange, high alarm, and low alarm. It also provides extensive diagnostic coverage, monitoring the power supply, channel inputs, and internal circuits to help identify and isolate faults. When a fault is detected, the module will take corresponding measures, such as providing local module and channel status indication through the front-panel LED indicators. Meanwhile, these statuses can also be linked to application variables and viewed in Workbench, facilitating staff to promptly detect and handle problems.
