It is connected via single-mode optical fiber, with a maximum distance of 7.5 miles (12 kilometers). Basic Information

Model Identification: TRICONEX 4211 belongs to the remote single-mode optical fiber type in Remote Expansion Modules (RXM), with the corresponding model number 4211-3.

Application Scenarios: As a remote RXM module, it needs to be used in conjunction with the main RXM module. It is used to deploy I/O modules at remote sites up to 7.5 miles (12 kilometers) away from the main chassis when the total I/O bus cable length of the system exceeds 100 feet (30 meters).

Connection Method: It is connected to the main RXM module via 6 optical fiber cables, which transmit the transmit and receive signals of channels A, B, and C respectively.

Cable Type: Compatible with single-mode optical fibers.

Transmission Rate: Consistent with the I/O bus, which is 375 kilobits per second.

Diagnostic Functions: Equipped with diagnostic indicators such as PASS, FAIL, ACTIVE, TX, RX1, RX2, and RX3 to monitor the operating status of the module.

System Configuration Requirements

Chassis Configuration: It needs to be installed in an RXM chassis. Each RXM chassis must be equipped with 2 power modules, providing 6 logical slots for I/O modules and 1 blank slot.

Address Setting: Each RXM chassis must be assigned a unique address (between 2-15), which must not be duplicated with other chassis in the system.

Compatibility: It is used in conjunction with the main RXM module (model 4210-3) to jointly realize the remote expansion function.
