INDRAMAT

INDRAMAT is an important enterprise in the field of industrial automation, which was established in 1958 in Neuwied on the Rhine River in Germany. Its name is derived from the German words "Industrialization, Rationalization and Automation Company". It has gone through a series of changes, including being acquired by Rexroth, merging into Mannesmann together with Rexroth, and finally in 2001, when the industrial part of Mannesmann was acquired by Bosch, it was merged with the automation department of Bosch. Since then, the INDRAMAT logo and trademark have no longer been used.

Its core business is to produce industrial servo drives and motion controllers, which are applied to a variety of equipment such as machine tools and printing presses. Technologically, it has achieved outstanding accomplishments in aspects such as DC servo and brushless drive servo. For example, in the 1970s, its DC servo was widely recognized in central Germany and Central Europe. The brushless drive servo system launched in 1979 has gained recognition worldwide.

In 2001, INDRAMAT had a total of 1,500 employees, with a turnover of 261 million euros, and exports accounted for 52% of its business. Nowadays, the relevant departments of Bosch Rexroth still produce and provide support for the original products of INDRAMAT, and the new product series also continues its technological heritage.
