NTDI01 is a digital input terminal unit of the ABB Harmony series. It is used with IMDSI13, IMDSI14, and IMDSI22 digital input modules to connect field device lines with the system. It sets the power supply and signal paths through jumper configurations (XU1-XU17). The terminal blocks TB1-TB4 correspond to different input points and can access signals such as 120VAC, 24VDC, 48VDC, and 125VDC. During installation, it needs to be connected to the backplane of the module mounting unit. Cooperating with the digital input module, it transmits 16 channels of field signals to the Symphony system for the controller to monitor and control processes, and is compatible with the INFI 90 OPEN system.

Core Components: Input isolation circuit (current limiter, optocoupler), threshold detection circuit, control logic, I/O expansion bus interface
Connectors:
P1: Logic power supply (+5VDC)
P2: I/O expansion bus
P3: Digital input signal
Indicator Lights: 16 LEDs (8 in Group A and 8 in Group B) indicating input status - Working Process
Field input signals are connected via P3 and pass through the input isolation circuit (1500VDC isolation)
The threshold detection circuit judges the signal status (on/off)
The control logic stores the signal status through point data bytes and status bytes
The controller reads data through the I/O expansion bus (address set by S1 switch)
V. Installation Process - Preliminary Preparation
Anti-static Treatment: Use a dedicated anti-static kit (part number 1948385A1)
Unpacking and Inspection: Confirm the packaging is intact and check for transportation damage - Configuration Settings
Address Selection (S1 Switch): 6-position switch sets addresses 0-63, which must be consistent with the controller configuration (function code 84)
Jumper Settings (IMDSI22 only):
Operating Voltage Selection: Jumper positions corresponding to different voltages (Table 3-2)

Confirm the module installation slot and disconnect the power supply of the module mounting unit backplane
Connect the terminal unit cable to the corresponding slot on the backplane

Power Supply and Bus: P1 (power supply) and P2 (bus) are automatically connected after the module is inserted
