The Basler DECS-400 digital excitation control system is suitable for synchronous generators and motors. It can be used in exciter excitation or static excitation applications up to 2500Adc, and performs excellently in both new equipment and renovation projects. Based on a dual-CPU design with a 32-bit high-performance microprocessor and a high-speed digital signal processor, it integrates multiple functions into one. It features five control modes including automatic voltage regulation, with automatic tracking and switching capabilities. The voltage regulation accuracy reaches 0.20%, and it has compensation functions such as reactive voltage drop as well as a generator voltage soft-start function. Additionally, it is equipped with built-in limiting and protection functions, can monitor 19 groups of generator parameters in real-time, and enables convenient communication through various communication interfaces, thus meeting different needs and requirements for redundant configuration.
DATA SHEET
Basic Performance:
Control Modes: Equipped with five control modes, including Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR), Field Current Regulation (FCR), Power Factor Regulation (PF), Field Voltage Regulation (FVR), and VAR (Reactive Power) Control. Automatic tracking is available between modes.
Regulation Accuracy: The voltage regulation accuracy is 0.20%, which can be maintained from no-load to full-load conditions.
Compensation Functions: Features reactive voltage drop compensation, line voltage drop compensation, and supports generator voltage soft start.
Monitoring Functions: Can measure 19 groups of generator parameters in real-time, and graphically display any 2 of the 10 optional generator parameters.
Hardware Design:
Processor: Adopts a dual-CPU design based on a 32-bit high-performance microprocessor and a high-speed digital signal processor, integrating functions such as excitation regulation, limitation, protection, and display.
Rectifier Bridge: Uses a three-phase thyristor fully controlled rectifier bridge with forced air cooling, redundant fans, and multiple capacity options. The maximum rated output of a single bridge can reach 3000Adc, and it can be redundantly configured according to the n-1 principle.
De-excitation Methods: Supports multiple de-excitation methods, including AC circuit breakers or DC field circuit breakers, linear resistors or nonlinear resistors for de-excitation.
Overvoltage Suppression: Equipped with metal oxide nonlinear resistors for DC and rotor overvoltage suppression.
Protection Module: Has independent hardware-based over-excitation and overvoltage monitoring modules, providing redundant safety protection functions.
