BASLER ELECTRIC DECS-250E Digital Excitation Control System

The DECS-250E is a full-featured microprocessor-based digital excitation control system, supporting 63Vdc, 125Vdc, 250Vdc outputs (continuous current up to 50A/100A/200A). It integrates control, limiting and protection functions, suits synchronous generators and motors, configurable via panel or software, widely used in industrial power generation and other scenarios.

The DECS-200-2C is a full-featured microprocessor-based digital excitation control system that integrates control, limiting, and protection functions, suitable for synchronous generators of all sizes. It supports 32Vdc, 63Vdc, and 125Vdc outputs (maximum 15Adc continuous current) and adopts a pulse width modulation (PWM) power stage, which can improve system performance in non-linear load scenarios. It can be set up through the front HMI panel or Windows® configuration software to meet diverse application needs.

Core Functions and Features

Control and Regulation

Multi-mode Control: Supports Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR), Field Current Regulation (FCR), Field Voltage Regulation (FVR), Reactive Power (Var) Control, and Power Factor (PF) Control. Automatic tracking between modes enables disturbance-free switching.

High-precision Regulation: Voltage regulation accuracy of ±0.25% in AVR mode, ±2.0% for Var regulation, and ±0.02 pu for power factor regulation, ensuring stable operation.

Parallel Compensation: Supports reactive droop, cross-current compensation, and network load sharing. Compatible with 1A/5A current transformers to optimize parallel operation performance.

Protection and Limitation

Comprehensive Protection: Includes 23 protection functions such as overvoltage (59), undervoltage (27), overexcitation (24), loss of excitation (40Q), excitation overcurrent/overvoltage, and excitation diode monitoring (EDM). All protection thresholds and delays are customizable.

Intelligent Limiters:

Overexcitation Limiter (OEL): Supports online/offline modes, with high/medium/low current levels, and features time delay or inverse time characteristics.

Underexcitation Limiter (UEL): Based on generator rated values, supports built-in curves or 5-point custom curves to prevent loss of synchronism.

Stator Current Limiter (SCL): With high and low current levels to limit stator overheating.

Low Frequency/V/Hz Limiter: Adjustable slope (0-3.0 pu) and 转折频率 (40-75Hz) to adapt to prime mover characteristics.

Var Limiter: Limits reactive power output to protect the generator from overload.

Operation and Monitoring

Convenient Configuration: Front-panel backlit LCD display + 6 buttons for local operation; remote configuration via BESTCOMSPlus® software (supports Windows system), including PID tuning tools.

Data Recording:

Sequence of Events Recording (SER): Stores over 1000 events (with timestamps), recording input/output statuses, alarms, etc.

Waveform Recording: Supports synchronous sampling of 6 variables, up to 1200 points per recording, compatible with COMTRADE format (viewable with BESTWAVE software).

Trend Recording: Can track 6 parameters for 1-720 hours, with adjustable recording intervals.

Remote Control: Supports contact input (raise/lower adjustment), analog signals (±10Vdc or 4-20mA), and communication protocols (Modbus, Ethernet, etc.) for remote control.

Flexibility and Compatibility

Redundancy Design: Supports dual-machine redundant tracking, with disturbance-free switching between main and standby units to improve system reliability.

Expansion Capability: Compatible with analog expansion modules (AEM-2020) and contact expansion modules (CEM-2020) to increase analog/contact input and output.

Extensive Certifications: Certified by UL, CSA, CE, DNV, GOST-R, etc., and compliant with IEEE C37.90.1 standards, adapting to global market demands.
