Product Features

  • Inputs: System inputs are processed by three CPU modules to achieve Triple Module Redundancy (TMR). Each CPU processing module handles two unique speed input channels, resulting in a total of six speed channels in the system. Additionally, the processing modules monitor 32 discrete (DI) and process variable (PV) signal inputs, among which 12 channels can be configured as either discrete inputs or 4-20mA analog inputs, and the remaining channels are dedicated to discrete input signals.
  • Outputs: Mechanical shutdown functionality is implemented via TMR relay output modules. Each relay output module is equipped with five relays with flexible configurations. Among the five relays, four are used to announce system logic, and the other reflects the OK/NOT OK status of the relevant protection path. Each CPU module in the system has two internally powered 4-20mA recorder outputs, controlled by the full-scale speed set by the user through the Monitor Configuration software.
  • Compliance: It conforms to numerous technical regulations and standards, including North American general safety (CSA certification), CE (low voltage, electromagnetic compatibility, and machinery directives), functional safety certification (SIL), North American hazardous area certification (CSA certification). European ATEX and IECEx hazardous area certifications are pending.
  • Architecture and Logic Configuration: Typical applications adopt a triple module redundancy architecture, where each processor module connects to 32 input channels (12 configurable) and two speed inputs. A large number of logic blocks can be configured via Bently Nevada Monitor Configuration software to manage system trip logic, supporting up to 500 logic steps. The decision time from input to output is optimized to a nominal logic processing time of 2ms and a relay switching time of 8ms.
  • Network Functionality: Supports fixed (static) IP addressing and DHCP, with easy setup via Bently Nevada Monitor Configuration software. The system has 6 physical network interfaces (two per CPU module), which can be configured to connect to different subnets for redundant communication.
  • Software Operating Environment: Bently Nevada Monitor Configuration software can run on most Windows desktop or laptop systems. It has been tested to work properly on Microsoft Windows 7 systems, both 32-bit and 64-bit environments.

    • Analog Inputs: Full-scale range is 4-20mA ±1% with polarized terminals; typical operating frequency is 0-159Hz; common-mode input range is ±32V; differential-mode input range is 0-25mA; fault input tolerance is ±40V.
    • Proximity Speed Inputs: Input voltage range is 0 to -24Vdc; typical sensor power supply is -24Vdc; maximum sensor current is 30mA (with current foldback protection); operating frequency is 3Hz – 10kHz; minimum pulse amplitude is 1.0Vpp, maximum pulse amplitude is 24Vpp; errors vary at different speeds; OK detection has a specific voltage range.
    • Magnetoresistive Speed Inputs: Minimum pulse amplitude is 1.0Vpp, maximum amplitude is 80Vrms; operating frequency is 2Hz – 20kHz; errors vary at different speeds; OK detection is determined by resistance.
  • Relay Output Specifications: Relays in different channels have different configurations and parameters. For example, CH1/2 relays can be configured with voting logic, are of SPDT type, and have clear parameters such as maximum current and voltage; CH3/4 relays have specific logic and parameters; Okay relays also have corresponding specifications. Nominal transition time is 8ms, and minimum switching current is 12Vdc/100mA.
  • 4-20mA Recorder Output Specifications: Internally powered, with a full-scale range of 4-20mA, maximum error of 0.1mA, and maximum loop impedance of 750Ω.
  • LED Indicators: Multiple LED indicators are used to display module and system status, such as Module OK LED, Protection Fault LED, and CPU-related LEDs, which show different colors or blinking frequencies under different states.
