DECS-200N-C1 is a compact negative forced digital excitation voltage regulator that integrates control, limiting, and protection functions into one, specifically designed for synchronous generators. Its compact structure supports 63Vdc and 125Vdc outputs with a continuous current of up to 20Adc. It features a built-in 6-thyristor controlled rectifier bridge, which can provide excellent system response speed, making it particularly suitable for application scenarios requiring a Power System Stabilizer (PSS). Parameter settings can be completed via the front-end HMI panel or Windows® configuration software, adapting to the needs of various power generation systems.

Core Functions and Features
Control and Regulation
- Multi-mode Control: Supports Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR), Field Current Regulation (FCR, manual mode), Reactive Power (Var) Control, and Power Factor (PF) Control. Automatic tracking between modes enables disturbance-free switching.
- High-precision Regulation: Voltage regulation accuracy of ±0.25% in AVR mode, current regulation accuracy of ±1.0% in FCR mode, ±2.0% in Var mode, and ±0.02 pu in power factor mode, ensuring stable operation of the generator.
- Negative Forcing Characteristic: Equipped with positive and negative forcing voltage output capability, improving load transient response speed and reducing voltage fluctuations.
- Parallel Compensation: Supports reactive droop or cross-current compensation, compatible with 1A/5A current transformers, eliminating the need for dedicated CTs and reducing installation costs.
Protection and Limitation
- Comprehensive Protection: Includes protection functions such as generator overvoltage, undervoltage, excitation overvoltage, excitation overcurrent, loss of excitation, and excitation diode monitoring (EDM), with customizable thresholds and delays.
- Intelligent Limiters:
- Overexcitation Limiter (OEL): Supports online/offline modes, with high/medium/low current levels, and features time delay or inverse time characteristics (I²t).
- Underexcitation Limiter (UEL): Based on generator rated values, supports built-in curves or 5-point custom curves to prevent loss of synchronism.
- Stator Current Limiter (SCL): With high and low current levels to limit stator overheating.
- Low Frequency/V/Hz Limiter: Adjustable slope (0-3.0 pu) and corner frequency (45-65Hz) to adapt to prime mover characteristics.
Operation and Monitoring
- Convenient Configuration: Front-panel backlit LCD display + 6 buttons for local operation; remote configuration via Windows® software (including PID selection tool), supporting parameter backup and restoration.
- Data Recording:
- Sequence of Events Recording (SER): Stores 127 events (with timestamps), recording input/output statuses, alarms, etc.
- Waveform Recording: Stores 8 records, each capable of tracking 6 variables (such as generator voltage, current, etc.), with a maximum sampling rate of 600 points per record, supporting COMTRADE format.
- Remote Control: Supports contact input (raise/lower adjustment), analog signals (±10Vdc or 4-20mA), and RS-485 communication (Modbus™ protocol) for remote setpoint control.
