The FCP270 P0917YZ(Field Control Processor 270) is a compact control processor of the standard 200 series subsystem in Schneider Electric's Foxboro Evo process automation system. It is similar in size to the Fieldbus Module (FBM) and can be deployed in key areas of the factory as an interface between the FBM and the Foxboro Evo control network. It supports local or remote allocation of process I/O points, adapts to the Z module form factor of the 100 series FBM rack, and can work in conjunction with FBM, Fieldbus Communication Module (FCM), etc., to realize the electrical and data interface functions of industrial equipment.

Installation and Maintenance

Installation Methods: Installed on 200-series standard bases or Intrinsic Safety Bases (ISTA-BP), which support DIN rail or 19-inch rack mounting, and can be deployed side by side with modules like FBM and FCM.

Wiring and Communication: Connect to the control network via shielded twisted-pair or fiber optic cables. Field I/O signals are connected through Terminal Assemblies (TA). The cable length ranges from 0.5m to 30m, supporting hot-swapping (except for some FBMs).

Maintenance Key PointsAnalog FBMs are factory-calibrated and require no on-site calibration; discrete I/O modules need no on-site adjustment.

Power failures are indicated by LED indicators and system alarms. Module software is stored in flash memory, enabling quick restart after power outages.
