Bently 3500/15 Power Supply Module Selection Specification
Bently‑Nevada 3500 TSI System Power Module, including old‑new versions, obsolete replacements, ordering codes, hardware pairing rules, technical parameters, EU CE / ATEX certification information
The 3500/15 is a half‑height power supply module for the 3500 Machinery Protection System, installed in the dedicated power slots on the left‑hand side of the rack. A maximum of 2 power supplies can be fitted in the rack, supporting single‑power‑supply and dual‑redundant‑power‑supply configurations. AC and DC power supplies can be mixed for redundancy.
Primary‑standby logic for power slots (Official Document): When two power supplies are installed simultaneously, the power supply in the lower slot acts as the primary supply, and the one in the upper slot acts as the backup supply. Provided at least one functional power supply remains in the rack, hot‑swapping (removing or installing) the second power supply module will not disrupt operation of the 3500 rack, enabling on‑line maintenance and module replacement.
Examples:
3500/15-05-00-00: Universal AC power in the upper slot, no power supply in the lower slot → Single‑power‑supply configuration3500/15-05-05-00: Universal AC power for both upper and lower slots → Dual‑redundant‑power‑supply configuration

3. Old‑New Hardware Part Numbers, Obsolete Replacements & Mandatory Pairing Rules
Hard rule: The front Power Supply Module (PSM) and rear Power Input Module (PIM) must be paired as a complete matched set. Mixing legacy and new hardware is strictly prohibited. Mixed pairing will not create direct safety hazards but may result in abnormal functions and invalidate CE / ATEX certification.
3.1 AC Power Supply Upgrade (Legacy to New Universal‑AC)
表格
| Item | Legacy AC (Obsolete) | New Universal‑AC (Replacement) |
|---|---|---|
| Sample complete ordering model | 3500/15‑02‑02‑00 (Legacy High‑Voltage AC) | 3500/15‑05‑05‑00 (Full replacement for legacy HVAC / LVAC) |
| Front PSM (Power Supply Module) | 127610‑01 | 106M1079‑01 |
| Rear PIM (Power Input Module) | 125840‑01(HVAC) / 125840‑02(LVAC) | 106M1081‑01 |
| Fuse | Legacy dedicated fuse | 113M0744 (Fuse dedicated for new‑generation AC‑PIM) |
| Connector | One‑piece terminal block | Two‑piece plug‑gable screw terminal connector 102M3992 |
Important Note: The legacy model
3500/15‑02‑02‑00is obsolete. For field spare‑part replacement, the complete set including front module 106M1079‑01 and rear PIM 106M1081‑01 shall be replaced together; replacement of only one single module is not permitted. Complete legacy‑AC set and complete new Universal‑AC set can co‑exist within the same rack for redundant power supply. Do not mix legacy and new hardware inside one single power channel.
3.2 DC Power Supply Upgrade (Legacy to Refresh‑DC, mixing legacy and new PSM/PIM is also forbidden)
| Item | Legacy DC Modules (Phased out) | Upgraded Refresh‑DC Modules (Current delivery) |
|---|---|---|
| High‑Voltage DC Front PSM | 129486‑01 | 114M5329‑01 |
| High‑Voltage DC Rear PIM | 129478‑01 | 115M7750‑01 |
| Low‑Voltage DC Front PSM | 133292‑01 | 114M5330‑01 |
| Low‑Voltage DC Rear PIM | 133300‑01 | 114M5335‑01 |
For new‑revision DC ordering, use code
06(New High‑Voltage DC) or07(New Low‑Voltage DC) for AA / BB fields. Legacy DC modules are only available via remaining stock. When legacy stock is exhausted, replace PSM and PIM together as a complete Refresh‑DC set; legacy‑new mixing is prohibited.
4. Key Hardware Features
- Hot‑swap capability: Hot‑swap is supported under redundant power configuration. Do not remove the power supply for single‑power‑supply racks.
- Status Indication: Front‑panel
SUPPLY OKgreen LED. Steady green light indicates normal power‑supply operation. - Environmental Ratings: Operating temperature: ‑30℃ ~ +65℃; Storage temperature: ‑40℃ ~ +85℃; Humidity: 95% non‑condensing.
- Rack Load: No minimum rack‑load requirement. One single power supply can drive a fully populated 3500 rack.
5. Compliance & Certification (From EU‑DoC EU Declaration of Conformity Rev‑AA)
- EMC Directive: 2014/30/EU; LVD Low‑Voltage Directive: 2014/35/EU; RoHS Directive: 2011/65/EU; ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU is satisfied when the corresponding option is ordered for hazardous‑area applications.
- Applicable standards: EN 61000‑6‑2, EN 61000‑6‑4, EN 61010‑1; ATEX hazardous‑area rating: II 3 G Ex nA nC ic IIC T4 Gc; Ambient operating temperature Ta: ‑20℃ ~ +65℃.
- For hazardous‑area installation, the complete rack enclosure shall achieve at least IP54 ingress protection. Follow drawing 149243 and 149244 for ATEX installation requirements.

7. Critical Risk Warnings
- Do not pair legacy PSM with new PIM or new PSM with legacy PIM for the same power channel. This invalidates safety certification and causes equipment malfunction.
- Two complete power‑supply sets of different revisions (e.g. one complete legacy‑AC set plus one complete new Universal‑AC set) can operate together inside one rack for redundant power supply.
- For hazardous‑area applications, select code
02for the CC field to obtain ATEX / IECEx / China NEPSI hazardous‑area qualification. - Always replace fuses with official specified part numbers; generic alternative fuses are not permitted.
