The 3500/65 145988-02 is a 16-channel temperature monitor manufactured by Bently Nevada. The 172103-01 is its supporting RTD / isolated tip thermocouple I/O module. The two work together for temperature monitoring and control of industrial equipment.
Product Functions: It has a 16-channel temperature monitoring function and can receive temperature input signals from Resistance Temperature Detectors (RTDs) and Isolated Tip Thermocouples (TCs). It can be flexibly configured through the 3500 rack configuration software to accept different types of inputs, such as isolated tip thermocouples, 3-wire RTDs, 4-wire RTDs, or combinations thereof. In a Triple Module Redundancy (TMR) configuration, three adjacent monitors need to be installed in a group, and two voting methods are used to ensure accurate operation and avoid single-point failures. After conditioning the input signals, they are compared with user-programmable alarm setpoints to achieve temperature abnormality monitoring and early warning.

Note: Using 3500/65 with 3500/02 or 3500/03 software may cause abnormal software operation.
- Internal terminal I/O modules (e.g., 172103-01) cannot use external terminal blocks.
- When ordering external terminal I/O modules (e.g., 172109-01), purchase external terminal blocks (e.g., 172115-01) and cables (e.g., 134544-AAAA-BB) separately.
For 4-wire RTD applications, the I/O module must include "Modification 179952-01". Refer to the 3500/65 User Guide for details.
