FOXBORO FBM242 RH916TA is an externally powered discrete output module in Schneider Foxboro DCS system. Other Notes
The maximum current is limited to 12A per 8 channels.
For inductive loads exceeding the specified limits, freewheeling diodes must be connected for DC inductive loads, and metal oxide varistors (MOVs) must be connected for AC inductive loads. The current rating of the diode should be equal to the maximum load current, and the voltage rating should be 1.3 times the maximum power supply voltage; the MOV should be rated for 120VAC, and its current rating should be equal to the maximum load current.
Relevant safety specifications must be followed during installation and maintenance to avoid applying voltages beyond the specified range, so as to prevent dangers such as electric shock and explosion.
