500AIM02 1MRB150022R001 is a controller module in ABB AC500 series, mainly used for processing analog input signals.
Signal processing capability: It can handle up to 16 channels of high-level, group-isolated analog input field signals. Each channel can be independently configured to a signal range of 4-20mA or 1-+5VDC.
Resolution and accuracy: The A/D resolution of each channel can be configured between 12 bits and 16 bits (with polarity). The module updates 16 input channels within 100ms, and the accuracy is ±0.1% of the full-scale range (when the full-scale range FSR is 25mA or 6.25VDC).
HART communication support: In current mode, it supports HART V5.4 instruments, and can support up to 24 HART V5.4 secondary variables in total, with a maximum of 4 per analog input channel. It can also provide secondary HART variables for control logic. Meanwhile, the module has a short-circuit protection function, which can limit the current to a maximum of 96mA and detect an open circuit in less than 5 seconds.
Power supply requirements: The module power supply requires 24VDC±10% with a typical current of 100mA; the field IO power supply is 24VDC±10% with 20mA per channel.
Mechanical characteristics: The overall dimension is standard (190mm), and it can be installed horizontally or vertically. It adopts DIN rail mounting or wall-mounted installation, with a protection class of IP20.
