SPIET800 Ethernet CIU (Communication Interface Unit) Transfer Module is a dedicated INFI-NET to Ethernet transfer module designed for the ABB Symphony Plus control system. Acting as a communication bridge between the INFI-NET control network and Ethernet hosts, it enables seamless and reliable data exchange and monitoring between INFI-NET controllers and host computers via the TCP/IP protocol, providing core communication support for real-time data transmission, remote access and network integration in industrial automation systems. It is also equipped with embedded security functions to ensure secure access to INFI-NET network data, with only ABB-authorized applications permitted to access its communication channels.

Core Functions
Network Communication Conversion: Its core function is to realize bidirectional data transmission between the INFI-NET control network and Ethernet. It can efficiently forward data from INFI-NET controllers to Ethernet and send instructions from host computers to INFI-NET controllers, resolving communication compatibility issues between different network architectures.
Data Management Optimization: It can effectively classify and organize the data received from INFI-NET controllers to ensure the data is presented to host computers in a standardized format. It is also equipped with data storage and retrieval capabilities, caching data before it is requested by the host computer to prevent data loss and guarantee the timeliness of data access.
Secure Access Control: Built-in security mechanisms can fend off unauthorized access to INFI-NET data. Only officially licensed ABB applications are allowed to access the communication, including Symphony Plus Operations, 800xA for Harmony (SV5.1 Rev A and higher versions), Harmony OPC Server (5.0 and higher versions), etc. Third-party applications need to access system data via the Harmony OPC Server.
Network Integration Adaptation: It facilitates the integration of the INFI-NET network into the Ethernet infrastructure, streamlines the management process of complex industrial networks and improves the overall network connectivity of the system, enabling users to achieve centralized monitoring and management of the control system via Ethernet.

Environmental Adaptability: The operating temperature range is 0 to 55°C, and the storage temperature range is -25 to 85°C. It can operate stably in a humidity environment of 5% - 95% non-condensing, meeting the requirements of harsh working environments at industrial sites.
