ABB PM877 (Order No.: 3BDH000777R1) is a high-performance modular controller and the core component of the ABB Ability Symphony Plus MR Series (Melody Rack). It provides a highly reliable, scalable and available distributed control core for industrial processes such as power generation and water treatment. Supporting redundant hot standby, multi-protocol communication and SIL3 safety-rated applications, it is the primary controller for upgrading the Melody Rack architecture.

It replaces earlier models including CMC50/60/70 and PM875/PM876, offering battery-free operation, lower power consumption, and enhanced networking and cybersecurity capabilities, while remaining compatible with existing I/O and system topologies to protect customer assets and engineering investments.
