1C31194G01 is an electronic module of the Emerson Ovation series valve positioner module, mainly used to provide excitation power for linear variable differential transformers (LVDTs) and cooperate with personality modules to drive servo valve coils, so as to achieve precise control of valve positions. As an interface between the Ovation controller and the electro-hydraulic servo valve actuator, it needs to be used in combination with the MASTATION algorithm (stored in the Ovation controller).

With 1C31197G04: Drives two 125Ω coils, peak voltage ±4.5V, maximum current 36mA (C3+ and C3- coil outputs not available).
(3) Signal Input Characteristics
LVDT Position Feedback Input: Maximum 25V AC peak-to-peak (LVDT A and LVDT B), differential input impedance 20kΩ (floating source), single-ended input impedance 10kΩ (referenced to common).
(4) Electrical Isolation
Field Interface Insulation: 1000V DC. The valve positioning field interface has 50V and 150V short-term isolation from the logic common/Ovation I/O bus.
SLIM Interface Isolation: ±1000V DC.
(5) Communication Interfaces
SLIM Interface: RS-485, baud rate 9600.
Local Serial Port: RS-232 (non-isolated), baud rate 19200.
(6) Digital Input
SHUTDOWN Input: Nominal 24V/48V DC, input range 18–60V DC, contact state change propagation delay 1.9–25.5ms, maximum cable length 1000 ft (cable capacitance ≤50pF/ft), insulation ±1000V DC.
Module Grouping and Compatibility
(1) Electronic Module Grouping
It is paralleled with the 1C31194G02 electronic module, and the only differences between them lie in the LVDT excitation voltage and frequency (1C31194G02 features 23.75V AC peak-to-peak / 3.0kHz) .
(2) Personality Module Adaptation
It can be paired with the full range of 1C31197G01-G04 personality modules, and adapts to servo valve coils with different impedances (82Ω, 250Ω, 1000Ω, 125Ω) through resistor configuration
