  • Supports DeltaV SIS (Safety Instrumented System), achieving fault-tolerant configuration via Dual Carrier Extenders, compatible with redundant safety buses (Safety Logic Solvers).
  • Extenders feature two 44-pin D-shell connectors (A/B ports in parallel), supporting dual-cable connections to enhance system reliability.

Installation and Expansion

  • The I/O bus can be expanded across different rows via 1-Wide Local Bus Extenders, supporting multi-row deployment.
  • When connected to power/controller carriers, a single I/O subsystem can support up to 64 I/O interfaces (8 eight-channel carriers).

Controller Compatibility

  • Compatible with M-series controllers (e.g., PK controllers). When mixing 4-channel and 8-channel carriers, note the slot numbering rule: slot numbering starts from position 9 when an 8-channel carrier follows a 4-channel carrier.
  • Incompatible with S-series controllers unless using a DeltaV SIS adapter.
