Slot Layout Rules

The power supply module and rack interface module must be installed at the fixed leftmost slots of the rack. The remaining 7 free slots can be flexibly populated with 3500 series functional cards including vibration monitoring modules, displacement modules, speed modules and communication modules. Monitoring modules cannot be fitted into the dedicated left-side power supply slots.

Mandatory Compatible Accessories

When installing into a standard 19-inch EIA cabinet, the 144863-01 Mini-Rack 19-inch adapter panel must be purchased as a matching component; cabinet mounting cannot be completed without this adapter panel.

Software Version Restriction: This Mini-Rack only supports 3500/01 configuration software V2.70 and newer. Older software versions fail to recognize the Mini-Rack hardware architecture.
Compatibility Limitations: Incompatible with the 3500/93 System Display A01 front-mount kit, 3500/06 weatherproof enclosure and bulkhead mounting assemblies. If internal isolators are required, one additional slot must be allocated for the 3500/04-01 isolator grounding module to provide an intrinsically safe grounding circuit.

Usage Restrictions & Precautions

This rack shall not be deployed in explosive hazardous areas. Racks with explosion-proof certification codes must be selected for hazardous location projects.

The configuration software must be upgraded to 3500/01 V2.70 or later; hardware recognition will fail on older software revisions.

It is incompatible with the front-mounted display 3500/93, weatherproof enclosure 3500/06 and bulkhead mounting assemblies.

Installation of internal isolators will occupy one available slot, and a dedicated grounding module must be purchased separately.

The 144863-01 adapter panel is mandatory for mounting into a 19-inch cabinet; secure fastening cannot be achieved without this accessory.
