Operating Principle

The XVME-240 performs digital input and output processing via the VMEbus.
  • Signal Input
  • External TTL digital signals enter the input channels and are conditioned by input buffers to improve stability and drive capability.Signals then pass through electrical isolation to eliminate noise, and are converted to standard logic levels.Isolated signals are stored in internal data buffer registers for the host to read via VMEbus.The module continuously monitors channel status and reports to the host.
  • Signal Output
  • The host sends commands and data to the module’s internal registers over VMEbus.Processed data is driven and level-shifted by output buffers, isolated, and then sent to external devices to control motors, valves, indicators, etc.Onboard logic coordinates all operations to ensure accurate signal transmission.
