Core Advantages

  • The HIMA F6705 provides independent galvanic isolation between channels. A single‑channel fault will not interfere with output of the other channel.
  • Continuous background automatic diagnosis is implemented without manual periodic testing. Safe shutdown will be triggered to switch to safe state upon fault detection.
  • Hardware supports redundant parallel output and bipolar ‑20 mA~+20 mA output configuration. Both wiring modes are hardware‑compatible for flexible engineering configuration.
  • Wide operating temperature range and long‑distance wiring capability fit industrial field conditions. Ideal for driving analog valves and actuators within safety control systems.

Matching Accessories

  • Cable plug: Z7126/6705. The F6705 requires this flat‑pin plug assembly for field‑side wiring.
  • Recommended cable: LiYCY 8×0.5 mm²
  • Controller: HIMA HIQuad series controllers
  • Rack: Compatible with HIQuad system rack slots
  • Note: Jumpers shall short‑circuit unused channels. Channel 1: short b6‑b8; Channel 2: short b22‑b24 to prevent channel‑fault alarms on F6705.

Precautions

  • All unused channels of HIMA F6705 must be short‑circuited by jumpers on terminals; otherwise module fault alarms will occur.
  • For redundant parallel‑wiring scenarios, permissible load resistance is halved. Both parallel channels shall be configured in identical source or sink mode.
  • For bipolar‑current wiring, only one module may source or sink current at a time. User‑program logic constraints are required to guarantee output accuracy.
  • The theoretical maximum cable length is 1000 m. Total load resistance including line resistance shall be calculated and must not exceed module limits.
  • In sink mode, external supply UQ shall stay within 10‑30 VDC. Output abnormalities will arise outside this voltage range.
  • Shield layers shall connect to rack ground bar via 6.3×0.8 flat pins of the plug. Shield connections shall not be left floating.
  • This is a precision safety I/O card. ESD electrostatic protection shall be implemented during installation and maintenance.

FAQ

Q:What are potential causes for frequent channel‑fault alarms on HIMA F6705?

A: First verify jumpers are fitted for unused channels. Check whether field‑side load resistance exceeds rated limits. Confirm proper crimping of series‑b terminal pins and inspect cable‑shield grounding conditions.

Q:How to distinguish source mode from sink mode for HIMA F6705?

A: In source mode, the module outputs current outward. In sink mode, the module absorbs current; sink mode requires external UQ supply of 10‑30 V DC. Terminal pin assignments differ for the two modes; refer to hardware block diagrams for wiring.

Q:How to calculate load‑resistance parameters for redundant parallel output with F6705?

A: Under parallel‑redundant configuration, permissible load resistance drops to half of single‑channel rating. Both channels must use identical source or sink mode. Program logic shall distribute output current evenly between channels.

Q:Does F6705 support ‑20 mA to +20 mA bipolar output?

A: Bipolar wiring is hardware‑supported, yet two F6705 modules are required. User‑program logic shall ensure only one module sources/sinks current at any moment to preserve output accuracy.

Q:Is Z7126 plug supplied together with HIMA F6705 upon purchase?

A: F6705 main unit and Z7126 cable plug are separate items. They need to be ordered separately; the plug assembly is not included by default.

Q:What maximum field‑cable length is allowed for F6705?

A: Theoretical maximum length is 1000 m. Cable itself introduces line resistance, which must be summed into RB load‑resistance calculation and shall not exceed module limits.

Q:Can HIMA F6705 directly drive ordinary DCS regulating valves?

A: It can drive valve positioners with 4‑20 mA input. Always verify total load resistance on valve side stays within module‑specification limits.

Q:Will F6705 automatic tests disturb normal field output?

A: Runtime automatic tests are internal background diagnostics and will not interrupt regular analog output. Safe‑shutdown action is triggered only if faults are detected.
