Triconex 3626X is a 32-channel TMR digital output module exclusively designed for the Tricon CX safety control system. It supports both supervised and unsupervised operation modes and matches a 16-channel common field terminal board. Optimized for safety interlock applications of energize-to-trip and de-energize-to-trip, the module can only be mounted in Tricon CX I/O expansion chassis. Complying with high safety standards IEC 61508 / IEC 61511, it serves as a core output component for ESD emergency shutdown and F&G fire & gas protection systems in high-risk industries including petrochemical, oil & gas and power generation.

Installation & Operation Guide

Installation Requirements

  • Only install in Tricon CX I/O expansion chassis (e.g. 8131X)
  • Must pair with 9666X FET connector and designated ETP terminal boards
  • Each terminal board PS+/PS- powered by one redundant field power supply; cross-power-source connection prohibited

Wiring Specifications

  • Common field power bus: all channels energized once power is applied
  • Disable individual field supply monitoring via TriStation for non-Ex ETP boards to avoid false fault alarms
  • Strictly separate positive/negative power, load and ground wiring to prevent short circuits

Configuration Steps

  1. Add 3626X module and assign I/O addresses in TriStation
