Honeywell 05704-A-0145 4 Channel Control Card

As a member of the System 57 family, the gas detection and monitoring device Honeywell 05704-A-0145 4 Channel Control Card is designed to monitor field-installed industrial gas detectors. It connects to remote sensors via 4-20mA input interfaces, processes sensor signals, and displays gas readings and statuses. The device adopts a 3U card format, providing up to 32 detection channels in a half 19-inch sub-rack and up to 64 channels in a standard 19-inch sub-rack. Its signal processing and display functions indicate gas readings, channel statuses, and channel numbers through a front-panel backlit display. LEDs are used for alarms, and buttons reset alarms and select cards for use with engineering cards. The alarm functions include A1, A2, A3 level alarms and alarm outputs such as STEL, LTEL, rise, fall, and update, supporting multi-alarm modes like main alarm, zoned alarm, and vote alarm. For remote control, each card has remote disable and reset inputs, and each channel offers optional 0-20mA or 4-20mA isolated monitoring outputs.

Calibration and Maintenance

• Calibration and operation are performed using a dedicated Engineering Card, supporting zero and span calibration. The first-time span calibration is for new catalytic sensors.

Engineering Card Functions

• With the Engineering Key inserted, the Engineering Card enables operations such as channel inhibition, alarm configuration and relay testing, catalytic sensor bridge current adjustment, sensor signal monitoring, and clock/calendar setting.
