Product Advantages

  1. Exclusive SFB Selective Fuse Breaking TechnologyDelivers instantaneous 120A short-circuit pulse (6× rated 20A) lasting 12ms to reliably trip downstream Type B miniature circuit breakers. Only the faulty branch is disconnected while healthy loads remain powered, eliminating full-system shutdown caused by single-point short-circuit and cutting production downtime & maintenance expenses.
  2. POWER BOOST Static Power ReserveSustained 26A continuous output (130% rating, 625W) below 40°C ambient. Easily handles inrush startup current of capacitive loads, servo drives and high-power contactors without extra power supply expansion.
  3. Full-chain Pre-fault Diagnostic AlarmReal-time monitoring of output voltage & current; equipped with DC OK / BOOST LED indicators plus dual alarm outputs (active 24VDC signal + passive relay dry contact). Pre-alarm messages are sent to PLC for predictive maintenance and unplanned outage prevention.
  4. Wide Grid Compatibility & Superior EMC ImmunityAC input: 85~264VAC (nominal 100~240VAC); DC input range:90~350VDC; withstands transient 300VAC overvoltage for unstable global mains. >20ms holdup time bridges brief mains dips.Full industrial EMC compliance per EN61000: 15kV air / 8kV contact ESD, 4kV surge immunity, suitable for high-interference cabinets near inverters and large motors.
  5. High Reliability & Wide Operating TemperatureOperating range: -25℃ ~70℃; linear power derating at 2.5%/℃ above 60°C (power derate instead of shutdown). Storage temperature: -40~85℃, ideal for outdoor and high-temperature metallurgy cabinets.>93% efficiency at full load under 230VAC; no-load power ≤10W for low heat & energy saving. 4kVAC input-output isolation with SELV safety rating and Class I protective earth structure against electric shock.
  6. Flexible Capacity Expansion & MountingUp to 5 units in parallel for redundant capacity expansion or series connection for higher output voltage. Two DIN rail mounting options available: standard 125mm depth upright installation or 90° rotated compact 93mm layout to save cabinet space.

FAQ

Q1: DC OK green LED flashes after power-up, what’s the issue?
A: Flashing DC OK indicates output below 21.6V (0.9×rated). Three typical causes:
① Short-circuit or heavy overload on downstream loads; disconnect all loads for no-load test – normal no-load confirms field wiring fault;
② Input AC below 85VAC due to low mains voltage;
③ Internal power supply failure; return to factory for repair if flashing persists under no load.
Q2: BOOST yellow lamp stays on, is long-term continuous operation allowed?
A: Continuous 20~26A permitted below 40℃ ambient; only temporary operation above 40℃. Output derates progressively with rising temperature under permanent heavy load. Upgrade power supply or split loads as recommended.
Q3: Can two QUINT units of different ratings run in parallel?
A: Not recommended. Only identical QUINT-PS/1AC/24DC/20 of same batch can be paralleled. Dissimilar output impedance between mismatched ratings (e.g.10A+20A) causes uneven current sharing, leading to overheating and burnout of lower-rated unit.
Q4: B10A or B16A MCB for upstream protection?
A: B10A for standard loads; B16A for high-inrush capacitive/motor loads. Both Type B breakers are officially approved per datasheet.
Q5: Full 20A output permissible at 65℃ ambient?
A: Output derates 2.5% per ℃ above 60℃; total 12.5% derating at 65℃ → max permissible output = 17.5A. Full 20A forbidden; reduce load or improve cabinet cooling.
Q6: Will reversed 30VDC damage the unit?
A: Unit withstands reverse voltage up to 35VDC; 30VDC causes no damage. Reverse over 35VDC breaks internal protection circuit and destroys the supply.
Q7: Is special circuit breaker required for SFB function?
A: No, standard Type B miniature circuit breakers suffice. SFB’s 6×rated short pulse is engineered to match standard B-curve tripping characteristics without custom fuses.
Q8: Can two 380V phases (L1/L2) connect directly to input terminals?
A: Prohibited! Measured 380V exceeds maximum 264VAC input limit. Use single phase + neutral (220V) from three-phase mains only.
Q9: Definition of MTBF>500,000h & warranty term?
A: 500,000hrs ≈57 years theoretical service life calculated per IEC61709. Standard Phoenix Contact factory warranty: 5 years; typical field service life exceeds 10 years under regular industrial conditions.
Q10: Standby no-load power consumption for long-term energization?
A: Max no-load loss:10W; daily power consumption ~0.24kWh. Low standby draw allows permanent powered without shutdown.
Q11: Accessory for wall mounting without DIN rail?
A: Original wall bracket UWA182/52 (Order No.2938235) for cabinet wall installation.
