It integrates the power supply module, CPU mainboard, and unit terminal circuits into a single unit, greatly simplifying installation, wiring, and maintenance procedures while improving hardware reliability.

2. Core Processing and Memory

  • Processor: Equipped with a Freescale PowerQUICC III MPC8270/MPC8641 processor running at 450 MHz, serving as a high-performance 32/64-bit computing core. It executes only 0.043 ms per 1000 Boolean operations and supports multi-task priority scheduling.
  • Memory Configuration: Standard 256 MB high-speed RAM (208.985 MB available for applications), paired with 16 MB Flash PROM for firmware storage, meeting the requirements of large-scale complex control programs and massive data processing.
  • Auxiliary Components: Built-in real-time clock (RTC), LED status indicators, INIT reset button, and SD card interface for program backup and restoration. No internal battery; clock synchronization relies on the CNCP protocol, with a synchronization accuracy of 1 ms between controllers.

3. Onboard Native Communication Interfaces

  • Ethernet Ports: 2 RJ45 Ethernet ports (CN1, CN2), supporting redundant configuration for connection to the control network. Compatible with TCP/IP, UDP/IP and other protocols, with a unique hardware MAC address.
  • Serial Port: 1 isolated RJ45 serial port (COM4), dedicated for connection to configuration tools (such as Control Builder), enabling secure and isolated engineering commissioning.
  • CEX-Bus Expansion Bus: Built-in communication expansion bus for extending third-party communication interface modules (e.g., Profibus, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, OPC UA, etc.), supporting redundant communication interface configuration. Can be used with the BC810 Interconnection Unit to divide the CEX-Bus into independent segments, enhancing bus availability.
