The TRICONEX 3706 (superseded model: 3706A) is a dedicated TMR triple modular redundant thermocouple analog input module for Schneider Tricon Safety Instrumented System (SIS). Designed by the original manufacturer complying with IEC 61508 SIL 3 safety certification standards, this card is engineered to acquire low-level millivolt temperature signals from industrial thermocouples; it performs cold-junction compensation, thermocouple non-linearity conversion and analog-to-digital conversion before transmitting processed data to the Tricon main processor.

Adopting fully triple-redundant independent acquisition channels alongside a 2-out-of-3 voting algorithm, the module features 32-channel differential DC-coupled inputs with native compatibility for three mainstream industrial thermocouple types: J, K and T.
