The ALLEN‑BRADLEY T8191 is a single‑slot width shield module of the ICS Triplex Trusted range. It is compatible with the Trusted TMR Triple Modular Redundant control system and is primarily used for backplane signal isolation, electromagnetic interference suppression and signal path protection within Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS).

Adopting a compact single‑slot design, the module mounts directly into slots on the Trusted chassis backplane. Together with processors and various I/O modules, it forms a complete safety control architecture. Its shielded housing structure mitigates electromagnetic interference generated by inverters and high‑power equipment in industrial sites, ensuring consistent signal transmission across the three channels of the TMR system. It is widely deployed in process industry control applications requiring SIL 3 safety certification.
